pH is the measurement of acidity or alkalinity

pH

 pH is crucial in a hydroponic system because it affects availability and absorption of the elements needed for plant growth. Optimal absorption of these elements is found at pH levels 5.5 to 6.5, if pH falls below this optimal range many of the macronutrients (N-P-K) will have less availability.
